Many women on release from prison lack the basics that enable them to reconnect with family or community services. Practical help can make a big difference to their wellbeing, giving them the best possible chance of making a fresh start.

We can provide these basics packs as part of our ‘Out of Gate’ service to ease the transition for women on short-term sentences back into the community and reduce reoffending. The pack includes food items, toiletries, a change of clothes, and a contact card with vital phone numbers. Photo ID and a phone card can also be included if required.

What will be the impact
We are helping approximately 136 women transition back into the community each year. You can play a part in providing practical help which can make a big difference to their wellbeing, giving them the best possible chance of making a fresh start.
