Who can I speak to about my donations?

If you want to speak to someone about your donations, contact us.  We’re very grateful for your support. You are helping us make such a difference to our New Zealand communities.

What about overheads and administration costs?

Presbyterian Support is a good steward of charitable gifts. We are a registered charity with more than 130 years’ expertise in delivering cost-effective social services to New Zealand families and communities. We meet many of our overheads and administration costs from contract funding so that most of our supporters’ gifts can go directly to front-line services.

Do I get a tax receipt?

If you have made a one-off donation, you will receive a tax receipt as soon as the payment is processed. For regular donations, you will receive a receipt for the total combined amount at the end of the tax year.

How long do I need to give for?

As long as you are able. We understand that your financial position may change at any time. You can make a one-off donation or become a regular donor.

Does the money pay for services in my area?

That’s correct – it’s used in your local region.

Do you provide services only for Presbyterians?

Not at all –we are working to provide a better life for everyone through our services, regardless of people’s religious beliefs.

How much funding does the government give you?

We are grateful for the funding we receive from the Government for specific contracted services. However, this funding only meets part of the cost of the services we provide and must only be used for specified purposes. We need extra financial support from generous donors so that we can offer a wider range of services and make them available to more people.

How will I know where the money is going?

We will communicate with you regularly about how your donations are helping to make a difference. You can also subscribe to our newsletter or our Enliven Northern newsletter. Our annual report is available here.
