We are proud and excited to announce that Presbyterian Support Northern has been recognised as a Dementia Friendly organisation by Alzheimers NZ.
The journey to becoming a Dementia Friendly organisation started in 2018, as part of our commitment to dementia awareness. We will move into 2020 continuing to focus on maintaining and further developing our Dementia Friendly approach.
In New Zealand, 4 out of 5 Kiwis are affected by dementia in some way. Today, around 70,000 New Zealanders are living with dementia, and this is expected to almost triple by 2050.
