A generous bequest

Presbyterian Support Northern is one of the beneficiaries of a substantial bequest, after the sale of a house in Remuera for $2.45 million. The house belonged to Beth and Brian Frankham, who lived there for more than 50 years and named the Neurological Foundation and Presbyterian Support Northern as the main beneficiaries of their will.

Presbyterian Support gave Brian a lot of assistance after his wife passed away in 2008 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The couple supported a number of charities throughout their life. Family members were very pleased the Bayley’s auction achieved the best result for those in need.

CEO Rod Watts said the bequests would be used for special initiatives rather than for PSN’s operational costs. “We help a lot of vulnerable people in our community which we would not be able to do without generous bequests like this.”
