Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN) has launched a new quarterly Prayer and Praise Journal to help church communities stay connected with its work and pray for the people, communities, staff and volunteers involved in its services.
The journal reflects PSN’s longstanding connection with Presbyterian churches and provides another way for church communities to stand alongside its work.
Prayer has long been an important part of PSN’s relationship with the church community. Through the new journal, churches will have a practical resource to guide prayer for people experiencing challenges across the communities PSN serves, as well as the staff and volunteers walking alongside them.
The first, spring edition includes prayers for older people and those who care for them, people experiencing mental distress or thoughts of suicide, families strengthening relationships, people affected by family violence, and communities coming together through shared kai.
It also provides opportunities to give thanks for the people, partnerships and positive developments that contribute to PSN’s work across the upper North Island.
The Prayer and Praise Journal will be published quarterly, closely aligned with each new edition of The PSN Post.
Churches and individuals are encouraged to read, download, print and share the journal with their congregations and wider communities.
PSN also welcomes feedback on the new resource and suggestions about what church communities would find helpful in future editions.
