Communities Feeding Communities

Communities Feeding Communities (CFC) is a Presbyterian Support Northern initiative dedicated to addressing the critical issues of food security and social cohesion in the Puketāpapa (Mount Roskill) area.

Located at Victoria Hall and using food as a powerful connector, CFC operates a Social Food Pantry (our version of a food bank).

We provide essential food support to PSN's services, and emergency food support for people living in the Puketāpapa area. This support is delivered alongside a Pātaka Kai, community kitchen, and community gardens.

What we offer

  • Emergency food support is available on Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 am to 1 pm. Food parcels are provided through referrals from PSN services, partner organisations, or in emergencies for Puketāpapa residents.
  • Community garden growing nutritious local kai to support our Social Food Pantry and Community Kitchen. Join our working bees on Tuesdays and the last Saturday of each month. Follow us on Facebook for updates.
  • Community kitchen combining commercial and home-style elements - an inclusive space for group cooking, classes and workshops. 
  • Free budget guidance and support from a Family Works financial mentor. 
  • Pastoral care and support are provided through an on-site community Minister.

Drop off fresh or non-perishable food at our Social Food Pantry, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 1 pm. A Pātaka Kai is also available by the driveway. Please note: we can't accept repackaged or home-cooked food.

If you live in the Puketāpapa area, we’d love to see you during our open hours: Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 am to 1 pm. Please note we don’t offer a delivery service.
