Trustee Te Aka Puaho

Mr Mahaki Albert joined the PSN Board in December 2020 as a Te Aka Puaho rep.

Of Tainui/Tuhoe, Mahaki grew up in Ruatahuna.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Theology from Knox and Laidlaw Colleges
• Bachelor of Public Health
• Master of Indigenous Studies

Mahaki chose not to be a fully ordained Minister in the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa, instead he is an Amorangi Minister with the Maori Synod, Te Aka Puaho.

He teaches 2 nights a week, and has a congregation in South Auckland that does not have a church building. Their mission is to feed the poor and homeless 2 nights a week. He is Senior Cultural Advisor to the CEO of Counties Manukau DHB. He is also Chair on 2 small Trusts and is becoming a Trustee of the Dingwall Trust.

Mahaki is married and has 3 young children.
