Judy Whiteman joined the Board in February 2007 as an Independent Trustee.
Judy has lived and worked in Australia, the UK, Hong Kong, Vanuatu and New Zealand during a thirty year plus career that has included sixteen years in senior executive positions in various divisions of the ANZ Banking Group.
She has been based in NZ since late 2000 and began working independently in 2003. Her portfolio includes executive coaching & mentoring, facilitation, consulting and acting CEO roles in both the profit and not-for-profit sector. She has also been a director (executive & non-executive) on various boards.
Judy is a member of many organisations including, the Institute of Directors in New Zealand (Chartered Member), Australian Institute of Company Directors (Fellow), Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, and the International Coaching Federation of Australasia.
Judy is interested in women’s issues and the community and has played an active role in organisations including the Victorian Women’s Trust, Women’s Enterprise Connection and the Williamson Community Leadership Programme and its alumni. In Hong Kong she was on the board of the Financial Women’s Association. In Vanuatu she provided assistance to various organisations, including the Vanuatu National Council of Women and was also a member of the local Rotary Club.
Currently Judy is an independent Director of Bank of India New Zealand and Te Waipuna Puawai. She was on the board of Dress for Success Incorporated for several years. She assisted Leadership NZ during its establishment and currently is their Network Connector. Judy is an Associate with the Centre for Social Impact and also works with several not for profits in the area of capacity building.
In July and August 2006 Judy was the Acting CEO of PSN.
Judy is a keen walker in her spare time.
